Let's Talk Dusty! are proud to announce the news we all have been waiting for.  Katy Setterfield has won The One and Only BBC competition and has landed a contract with Legends in Las Vegas.  Katy wowed the studio and television audiences tonight with covers of Middle of Nowhere, All I See Is You, and a reprise of You Don't Have to Say You Love Me.  Fans on the LTD forum were voting furiously, as were Dusty fans across the UK.

Congratulations, Katy on your fantastic performance.  Well done to the superfans, and a very special thank you to our own heart and soul--Carole!

Back Story;  Saturday the 5th January saw the first episode of a new BBC show called The One And Only.  The show is looking for the UK's best tribute act with the prize for the winner being a 3 month contract with the Legends show in Las Vegas.  For each act competing, three "Superfans" were chosen to take part, and in the first show were required to chose one act from three tribute artists representing each "Legend", in what was called a Superfan Sing Off.  The Dusty "Superfans" were myself (Carole Gibson), Simon Bell and Jane Northam and together we unanimously chose High Wycombe's Katy Setterfield as the winner.

On each week beginning 12th January, an act has been voted off, but Katy Setterfield, the DUSTY contestant, has made it to the final this Saturday February 16.  She won over audiences across the UK with her renditions of Dusty classics, such as “Wishin and Hopin,” “Son of a Preacher Man,” “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me” and “I Just Don’t Know What to Do With Myself.”

DUSTY SPRINGFIELD LIVE AT THE BBC Released on DVD !

The long awaited "Dusty Springifield:  'Live at the BBC"  DVD was released on October 8th. Here's our review, penned by Carole Gibson, a Dusty fan since the 1960's:

Should anyone ever have any doubts about what a brilliant, exquisitely beautiful, shining star Dusty was.....just show them this DVD. I was quite teary watching it and I couldn't help thinking of friends no longer here who would have loved to have seen this. Having had most of these clips in various forms over the years, some good, some very grainy or fuzzy and with time codes, the quality of this is just wonderful to see. It was like watching it for the first time back in those heady days. You can catch every look, all the humour in her face and mannerisms, the twinkle in her eyes and see all those gorgeous dresses in perfect detail. And the voice. Sometimes I think we forget just how good she was. All that latter day talk of how Dusty would record syllable by syllable....not here she didn't, she just sang live and nailed it all. Too many favourites to name really but special mention to I'll Never Stop Loving You, To Love and Be Loved and It Was Easier to Hurt Him for the power and passion in the big vocals, to If My Friends Could See Me Now for her musical comedy flair and for Peel Me a Grape for its flirty cuteness. Catch the eyes at the beginning of Bring Him Back too, pure Dusty! Funny to go from the last song of the '67 series to the next track which is from the Morecambe and Wise Show of '70, and find Dusty wearing the same frock! The whole DVD is an absolute delight.

For this release, Universal has created a dedicated microsite which can be accessed now at the following address: www.dustyspringfieldlive.co.uk.

In turn, the microsite provides a link to a video trailer on YouTube which can also be accessed directly at: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0s5I-aUYlk.

This DVD, available from the Dusty Springfield Bulletin, amazon, and many other outlets, is a must-have for all Dusty fans!  Purchasing the DVD will not only bring you hours of enjoyment, but encourage Universal to release more Dusty material,
